If you didn’t already know, I had the pleasure of being a vendor for The NotWedding 2012 in Atlanta! The NotWedding is a fake wedding to inspire real brides. Prior to the event, I had the opportunity to capture the Bridal Portraits and I am very happy with the results! Tinika was an absolute dream to work with, and I can say with 100% certainty that you cannot capture a bad image of her!

Stay tuned for the rest of the images from The Atlanta NotWedding 2012!

Holy cow this film stock is ridiculous. These images were shot on Kodak Tri-X using the Mamiya RZ67 and I would not be upset in the least if I only used this combo for the rest of my life. I love color, but I just cannot get over how amazing this film is, especially with a 6×7 negative. I don’t really have to do more than slight adjustments for 90% of my film when it comes to editing (thank you, film, for saving me from wasting my life)… These are literally straight scans!

The two images below are extra special to me. Not only do I love these images of my grandmother shot on this film, but these were taken on the way to bury my grandfather in Cedar Key, Florida about a month ago. One of my greatest regrets is not getting enough images like this of him before it was too late. Papa, you will be forever missed.

The third and final chapter of this beautiful place. This set of images is from a short day trip to the next town over, Telchac. The town looked almost deserted and it was almost surreal walking down the empty streets. This series was also shot on Kodak Portra 400 with the Mamiya RZ67. I can honestly say that I would love to go back to this part of the world, and it has awaken a desire in me to see so many other parts!

The second part in a three part series of my adventures in Mexico earlier this summer. These images were shot on Kodak Portra 400 220 using the Mamiya RZ67. I am falling more and more in love with this camera every time I use it. Being in Mexico with this camera was quite an experience.. In a place where I only know a small assortment of words to get by, walking around with my head down, taking in the sights through the ground glass.

We spent a week in Mexico during June, staying in a nice, secluded house on the beach of Progresso on the Yucatan. The relaxation was great, and the culture was incredible. Being able to stay somewhere with almost no Americans was very interesting and exciting. This will be the first of a three part series of some images I brought back with me. This first series was shot on 35mm Kodak Portra 400.
